Music has turned to dissonance.

As much as she tries to rid herself of the bondage, the grief remains.

Waves are crashing.

She can’t hold her head above water.

She feels stifled. She can’t breathe.

She sees nothing but pain ahead – pain and disappointment.

She can’t take another day.

She is confused, frustrated, angry, overwhelmed.

She wants to give up the fight.

It’s not worth it any more.

” . . . The Lord your God . . . will quiet you with his love.”

He says to you, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest . . . for I am gentle and humble in heart.”
